It appears Isaiah Paul will be an integral member of the St. Catharines Romby’s Tavern and Smokehouse Athletics this season.
The only question is, where?
The 17-year-old Niagara Falls native, who is equally comfortable and effective on offence or defence, delivered a six-point effort as the Athletics defeated the Wallaceburg Red Devils 19-7 to open their Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League season Sunday afternoon at Canada Games Park.
Paul, a Grade 11 student at Saint Paul Catholic High School, collected three goals and three assists and is open to being used in any role.
“However the coaches need me to provide the best for the team,” he said. “I feel like I can put the ball in the net when I want to, and I can go back and play D, and take some faceoffs when I need to.”
